Sibelius Spotlight Community Sing at Tanglewood
Sunday, August 17th at 1:00pm
Tanglewood has invited Berkshire Concert Choir to lead a community sing as part of their BSO Common Chord Sundays initiative, which aims to “celebrate and give a spotlight to local Berkshire musical groups in the community before weekly Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts.”
Join us Sunday, August 17th from 1:00-2:00pm to learn and perform two choral pieces by Sibelius, Drömmarne and This is My Song (Finlandia) together in anticipation of hearing Sibelius Symphony No. 3 (and more!) later in the afternoon.
Featured on WAMC
Listen in on a fantastic conversation between WAMC’s Joe Donahue, Artistic Director Ryan José LaBoy, and our pre-concert speakers: soprano and Assistant Professor of Astronomy at Williams College Anne Jaskot, tenor and primary care physician at Berkshire Medical Center Dr. Jason Kittler, and soprano and Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist Jane Salata.
